Restorative Yoga programme

I am now half way through my ‘Scaravelli inspired’ Yoga Teacher Training course and my oh my, how it has turned my yoga practice on its head!  There is a deep enquiry behind this work; the practice requires revisiting basic function at a fundamental level, and an engagement with ‘new’ ways of doing things that takes presence, patience and practice.  The practice can be very challenging because you confront the conflict in your body with compassion and intelligence in order to remove it-which requires a deep physical listening; rather than pushing through conflict and fighting yourself for the sake of achieving ‘a posture’ .  This is an investigative and transformational practice that can give you access to profound levels of physical freedom.

This practice is so complimentary to cranial work – the two dove-tail together beautifully.

I’m very excited to be assisting Marc Woolford, the  Director of my Yoga School – AcquaViva School of Yoga- in an 8 week Restorative Yoga programme designed for restoration of function after injury, and liberation from life-long holding patterns.

The programme will run for 8 consecutive weeks from September 2014 – November 2014 in London.  For further information about the course, including online booking and application form please visit the website of  my colleague – Katy Robinson – who will be co-facilitating on the course.
