Therapeutic approach

Health is an active force that is always present within us. Sustained stress, illness or injury often predominates our sense of self, yielding us to feel disconnected and sometimes disbelieving of the health and potential that we continuallly hold. Craniosacral therapy works with the health of a person, rather than focusing on the pathology.

This unique therapeutic process helps to release tensions, encourage whole body integration and develop a greater understanding of the interface between your mind and body.

How might craniosacral therapy help me?

There are many different aspects to craniosacral therapy that can help to resolve and better manage health issues such as:

  • Physical pain and structural mis-alignment
  • Unresolved traumatic experiences
  • Stress

Fundamentally craniosacral therapy helps regulate your autonomic nervous system (what governs homeostasis and how you respond to and process stress) which has major implications for your physical, mental and emotional health.

About Helen

Through overcoming her own health issues with the support of craniosacral therapy, Helen was inspired to train as a CST practitioner in 2008 with the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London.  She is an Acquaviva yoga teacher, a Scaravelli inspired approach to yoga  where the emphasis lies in quality of movement, releasing tension and liberating habitual holding patterns to release the spine.  Helen is teaching regular classes in Saltdean, Brighton.

Craniosacral therapy and Scaravelli yoga beautifully compliment each other – they both share the art of cultivating a deep listening for the body, leading to profound experiences of letting go and re-discovering the body’s innate intelligence for self healing.
